I ran on north farm, which is basically a small gravel path around a giant field.  It went okay, but I had to stop a few times.  I used to run out there all the time though, so it brought back good memories.

I feel you on those memories of North Farm. Awesome to see you on here, and your profile picture has been part of my screen saver slideshow for years.

Another civil engineer to join the blog! Hey, we design the roads, we might as well run on them.

I was okay for a while, but I ran out of energy around 20 minutes.  I ran yesterday, so that's probably why I had low energy levels.

Run again tomorrow and the day after that and the day after that.

If there is one thing I've learned from this website it is that you will recover quicker and get stronger faster by running every day instead of taking a day off because you think your body needs it. I only take Sundays off and I've never felt better.

Once I started running 5-6 days a week I went from running 4 miles to 6 and 7 miles within a month. And I have yet to really be sore.

I'm sure CE Comp had nothing to do with it...

I ran on the indoor track at the Sanderson Center.  It was pretty tough at the start and in the middle, but I finished strong by beating one the of DE teachers in the last two laps. You could see the look of disgrace he displayed after losing to me....poor guy.

I ran on south farm today, and  it was a pretty good run overall.  The best part was when I started throwing rocks at some cows to try to start a stampede.  My efforts were unsuccessful, but one cow kicked at the rock like he was swatting a bug.

I ran down to south farm and back.  As you can see by my calendar, I haven't run in a while, so it was pretty tough going.  It was a nice day though, and I enjoyed actually being outside not doing schoolwork!

Being outside and not doing schoolwork - that's what running is all about...

I got my master's degree at State.... oh the South farm days. No cows watch me run in Tallahassee :(

My girlfriend Lindsay and I ran on the indoor track at the Sanderson.  It was pretty tough since I was recovering from a sprained ankle suffered during a wiffleball game a couple of weeks prior.  However, it good to finally get some exercise after the last few weeks of undergrad, which were needless to say, quite busy.

Busy; nonsense; I mean, it's not like finishing up the comp project, getting ready for the FE, tending to the last bits of getting into grad school, and getting ready for finals takes any time or anything...

Congrats, Bill

Muffin,

I finally went and ran! This class thing is okay I guess, at least it is something different! Running any ultras anytime soon? I’m coming to Auburn for the MSU game on September 12. By the way, I’m liking the name of this powerful hurricane in the Atlantic.

Bill

From Nevels on Fri, Aug 21, 2009 at 11:51:40 from 131.204.15.93

Yeah, I thought about calling you when Hurricane Bill first made headlines...

I'm thinking that I'm going to go back to Pinhoti in November for another 100, and I might enter a shorter ultra beforehand to help in training, but other than that, my racing schedule is pretty open.

Bring your cowbell...

Ran on the track at the Sanderson Center.  First run in a while, but it felt good.  Hopefully there will be more good runs to come.
